The sixty-two plate suji-bachi [ridged helmet bowl] with signature Nobuie, iron peak fixed with three gilt chrysanthemum rivets through silver washers, clad with 'shishi-mo' design [karashishi and sea weed] leather, three tier shikoro [neck guard], the lower two tiers of hon-kozane [individual laced scales], large leather-clad fukigaeshi [turn-backs] with dyed Fudo-Myo-O [the Buddhist 'King of Light', Acala], iron yasuri [file-marked surface] menpo [lower face guard] with integral nose, bristle moustache with chin tuft, two-tier kozane yodare-kake [bib], gomaido [five-section cuirass] with russet iron breast-plate embossed with a dragon, other sections of shittsuke-zane [simulated laced scales] in colours matching the o-sode, upper parts black-lacquered leather with gold-lacquered blossom and scrolling, a leather pouch on the left with Fudo-Myo-O matching that on the shikoro, and his two acolytes Seitaka Doji, and Kongara Doji, kusazuri [skirt] of seven tassets in four tiers of sane [scales], matching lacing, ancient style sendan-no-ita and Kyubi-no-ita [pieces suspended so as to protect the under-arms when the arms are raised], o-sode [large shoulder guards] of iron and leather hon-kozane [individual scales] of five tiers laced with blue silk, blue leather, tan leather, and with purple hishi-nui [cross-knot], the kanmuri-ita [vertical top piece] of black-lacquered leather with gold-lacquered blossom and scrolling, hyotan-gote [sleeves], the upper part of five rows of seventeen iron splints, black-lacquered tekko [hand covers], iyo haidate [thigh protector] of black-lacquered scales, large solid iron plate black-lacquered suneate [lower leg protectors], with two lacquered armour boxes
