A Pair of Cloisonné Vases
Ando Workshop, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
Each worked in various thicknesses of silver wire and coloured cloisonné enamels with peacocks in blossoming cherry trees beside a stream against a bright blue ground, the neck and foot with floral lappets, silver rims stamped jungin [pure silver], in original fitted wood boxes and with carved wood stands with Ando labels
