Meiji Period (late 19th century)
The first inlaid in high and low relief in shakudo, sentoku and gilt with a tiger lying amongst bamboo shoots, hinged cover and silvered interior, signed Joun koku and with Nogawa mark; the second inlaid in low relief in silver, shakudo, copper and gilt with geese in flight, hinged cover, signed Bimin and with Nogawa mark
