Meiji Period (late 19th century)
With a seated oni lifting a large vessel on its shoulder, another smaller oni behind him, the vessel engraved, chiseled and inlaid in high and low relief in silver, copper, shakudo and gilt with a lobed panel depicing a lake before Mount Fuji, the reverse panel with birds in a cherry tree, the sides with tempestuous waves, the neck with applied archaic style handles and the roliate rim inlaid with twelve small roundles depicting the twelve animals of the zodiac
