Large hand-coloured lithographed map on paper (900 x 1280mm), dissected into 32 panels (most 225 x 170mm) and mounted on linen edged with green silk (light browning), in green morocco chemise with flaps, spine panelled in blind and gilt, the upper side with the Imperial eagle and lettered in gilt, green moiré silk doublures, brass catch and clasp (the chemise with expert repairs). Provenance: ink shelf-mark 'K. 26' -- oval shelf label numbered '257' in manuscript -- 'Printed in Russia' (small import stamp).

A LARGE, FINELY HAND-COLOURED MAP OF WARSAW, with numerous manuscript additions showing, among others, the positions of infantry divisions near the Povonzki and Belany exercise grounds, and with additional captions, including translations into French. A manuscript note mentions 1st Army Major General Semeko, for whom this map may have been made.
