A CHAIR COVER EMBROIDERED WITH DRAGON MEDALLIONS
FIRST HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY
The ground is embroidered in counted stitch with a multi-coloured diamond lattice, the top and bottom panels are embroidered with a couched gilt thread, front-facing, five-clawed dragon with a flaming pearl, the back of the chair is worked with a large, couched gilt dragon with long, coiled body.
