A BLUE AND WHITE 'BOYS' BOWL
WANLI UNDERGLAZE BLUE SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The bowl with deep rounded sides is decorated with a continuous scene of four boys at play in a fenced garden, one with a kite, another releasing a hare, a third holding a tray of peaches and the fourth releasing a bird.
6 in. (15.4 cm.) diam.
