The rectangular case with stepped top, beveled glass panels to top and all four sides, on part bombé and moulded stepped base with later feet, the foliate-engraved part-silvered square brass dial with pierced hands, signed 'A. HUGHES CLERKENWELL LONDON', the movement with four screwed pillars, single chain fusee and recoil anchor escapement, the back plate numbered '1914'; with winding key, case key
