(Offsetting and light soiling, a few tiny holes in linen at creasefolds.) Contained in the remains of a contemporary slipcase (worn, defective and broken). This edition of Cruchley's map shows the New Houses of Parliament for the first time. Howgego 307 (12).

Folding engraved map (562 x 825mm), to the scale of 3.75 inches to 1 mile (1:16,896), top border with title straddling large royal arms, the other sides with 33 engraved views including Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the House of Lords, mounted and dissected on linen. (Tears to linen folds, some browning to edges of paper panels, light soiling.) This is an intermediate state between Howgego 343 (3a) and (4), having the date altered to 1838, but with the earlier address of 16 Charterhouse St. Sold with four other Cruchley maps and four cartographic works relating to London postal districts.
