The John Kerr Co.'s John Ferguson off the Tail of the Bank on the Clyde, possibly on her maiden voyage

John Ferguson, registered at 499 tons was built on the Clyde in 1854 for John Kerr & Co. of Greenock. Along with her sistership Agnes Taylor (see lot 47), she was also put onto the trans-Atlantic trade between the Clyde and the West Indies.
