CIRCA LATE 1ST-EARLY 2ND CENTURY A.D.
Depicted wearing a peplos with a circular button at the right shoulder, her aegis over her left shoulder, its scales articulated, centered by the head of Medusa and fringed below by snakes, the goddess's head turned to her right, with long wavy hair protruding below the brim of her helmet, and a long tress undulating along her right shoulder, the helmet with a stylized mask on the visor and a short bifurcated crest, a projecting perforated tenon on the reverse
