A PAIR OF NABATEAN GOLD EARRINGS
CIRCA 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
Each formed from a plain tapering hoop with a loop closure, the underside joined to a u-shaped sheet adorned on each side with rows of granulation, with a fringe of granulated triangles interspersed with double rows of granules centered by a plain wire, topped with a cluster of granules, and an outer fringe of a double row of hollow spheres centered by a sheet with filigree circles, topped on either end with a cluster of hollow spheres embellished with granulation
