Of low footed form, painted with a bust-length portrait of a young woman turning to look over her left shoulder, wearing a broad yellow ribbon entwined in her hair, a beaded necklace and a blue, green and yellow shaded dress over a white chemise, before a scrolling ribbon inscribed PORTIA, all against a blue-shaded ground, mounted in an elaborate giltwood foliate scroll frame (repaired rim chip at twelve o'clock with associated hairline crack, another short hairline crack to rim at three o'clock, smaller rim chips)
