Each oblong with gadrooned rim, the covers with detachable branch and leaf handles, each engraved with a coat-of-arms, crest and inscription, each marked near rim, on cover and on handle

The inscription reads 'The Earl of St. Vincent to his Godson Digby St. Vincent Hamilton'. (2)

Presented to Digby St Vincent Hamilton (1815-1888) by his godfather Admiral John Jarvis, 1st and last Earl of St. Vincent (1734-1823).
