Gerhard Paul Baron von Rosen graduated from the Imperial Academy of Arts in St Petersburg in 1878. From 1896-1911 he was Associate Professor at the Arts School in Riga before becoming Head in 1906. His works are held in the National Museum of Art, Latvia.
