The pair of colonel shoulder boards of the Nevsky Infantry Regiment of his Majesty the King of the Hellenes, each with the cypher of King George I of Greece (1845-1913); together with a pair of regimental aglets, each finial with the cypher of King George I of the Greece (4)
Provenance
Prince Nicholas of Greece (1872-1938), officer of the 1st Nevsky Regiment, second son of King George I (1845-1913) and husband of Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna (1882-1957).
On 8 September 1900, Prince Nicholas of Greece became an honourary chief of the 1st Nevsky Infantry Regiment. His father, King George I, was made an honourary chief of the same Regiment on 4 May 1867.
