Lot Essay

From 1890/91, the Tsarevitch, later Tsar Nicholas II, toured the East, visiting Greece, Egypt, Aden, India and the Far East including Siam and Japan where he was received by their various royal families.
Michael Perchin(1860-1903) opened his own shop in 1886 where he worked exclusively for Fabergé although this piece does not bear a "Fabergé" mark.
