The arms are for Bennett quartering Leigh, with Horne in pretence for marriage of the Revd. Thomas Leigh Bennett of Thorpe Place, Chertsey, Surrey to Grace Horne. Bennett's father, John Bennett, an eminent Norfolk lawyer, was hanged for high treason in 1722, charged with planning to seize the Tower of London.
