Tapering form, engraved with flowers around four reserves, one engraved with the badge of the Royal Artillery, the other three inscribed Presented to Sergt.-Majr. John King, 9. Bn. Rl. Ay. as a token of their respect for him for the many years he was their Compy. Serjeant (sic) and a short poem
