Compiled by the Japanese scholar Umehara Sueji (1893-1983), who taught in the Department of Archaeology, Kyoto University, this work was published as a companion to the 7-volume Shina Kodo Seika, or Selected Relics of Ancient Chinese Bronzes from Collections in Europe and America, which was published in 1933.
