A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
QING DYNASTY, 17TH/18TH CENTURY
The standing figure of Guanyin is dressed in a voluminous robe decorated with cloud and scrolling pattern outlined in silver, with a beaded ruyi necklace spanning the chest. The deity has a serene expression with downcast eyes, the hair tied in a tall chignon under a veil, and her urna inlaid with a silver bead. Her back is inscribed with four characters in a vertical line, Yutang Shisou.
