JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The bowl is enamelled on the exterior of the deep rounded sides with six stylised lotus blooms surrounded by scrolling leafy tendrils. The primary floral band is bordered by double-lines encircling the rim and overlapping ruyi lappets at the base.

Doucai bowls of this design are fashioned after the Yongzheng prototype. A pair of Yongzheng-marked examples from the collection of Paul and Helen Bernat, was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 15 November 1988, lot 15. Two Jiaqing-marked examples decorated with composite flowers were sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 28 April 1997, lot 744.
