A WHITE JADE DOUBLE-GOURD FORM PLAQUE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The plaque is carved in low relief on one side with the characters Daji, 'Great auspiciousness' and on the reverse with the characters Tianxi, 'Heavenly bliss', all bordered by fruiting vines carved along the edges, with conjoined openwork leaves at the top to form a suspension loop. The semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone.
