A CARVED WHITE JADE WATER POT AND METAL SPOON
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The circular water pot has rounded sides, carved to one side with leafy branches and a bat clambering at the incurving rim in the shape of a peach. The semi-translucent and well-polished stone is of a pale celadon tone with milky speckling and patches of russet skin. The metal spoon ends with a dragon head with a pearl in its mouth.
2 1/16 in. (5.2 cm.) diam.
