A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED CHINESE SQUARE-SECTION BALUSTER VASE
CIRCA 1780
The handles with berried foliate swags above a rope-twist ormolu base mount, on a later Regency giltwood stand, circa 1805 for the Gallery at Harewood House, break and restoration to the upper section of one side of the vase, originally conceived with a further ormolu base-mount, losses to the giltwood stand

Provenance
Almost certainly acquired by The Hon. Edward 'Beau' Lascelles (1764-1814), in Paris circa 1802-03 and mounted on a Regency stand, for The Gallery, Harewood House, Yorkshire and by descent.
