The pommel with crowned initials GR above a rose, thistle and shamrock, the sides chased with shells and rosettes within strapwork, the faceted citrine seal with a coat-of-arms, a Marquess's coronet and motto
4¼ in. (110 mm.) high
The arms are those of de Burgh in chief and Solman in base, presumably for Hubert, 2nd Marquess of Clanricarde (1832-1916).
