A VICTORIAN GOLD-MOUNTED CARVED IVORY DESK-SEAL
MID-19TH CENTURY
The handle carved with a hound savaging a fox, bloodstone matrix with intaglio coronet above a cypher for the Marquess of Clanricarde, together with a turned rosewood example, the silver matrix with coat-of-arms for Lascelles surrounded by foliage, probably second half 18th century

Provenance
The first example, Ulick John de Burgh, 1st Marquess of Clanricarde, (1802-1874), and by descent to
Hubert George de Burgh-Canning, 2nd Marquess of Clanricarde (1832- 1916) by whom bequeathed to his great-nephew,
Henry Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood (1882-1947), and by descent at Harewood House, Yorkshire.
