AN IRISH MAHOGANY CENTRE TABLE
PROBABLY 19TH CENTURY
Carved with scallop shells and acanthus, on faceted pad feet
25½ in. (65 cm.) high; 34 in. (86 cm.) wide; 22 in. (56 cm.) deep
Provenance
Due to the Irish origin of this table, it has been suggested this may have originally been part of the collection of Hubert George de Burgh-Canning, 2nd Marquess of Clanricarde (1832-1916), and subsequently bequeathed to his great-nephew,
Henry Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood (1882-1947), and by descent at Harewood House, Yorkshire.
