With a copy of a letter from the Departmant of Metallurgy at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, providing a date of manufacture earlier than 1738 based on analysis of the structure of examples from the group.

The collection includes: scalpels, forceps, bullet probes, fleams and others, displayed in a glazed case.
