8o. Original dark green cloth gilt (pale offsetting from old clipping to rear endleaves). Provenance: Haven O'More (sold Sotheby's New York, The Garden Collection, 9-10 November 1989, lot 208).
FIRST EDITION, FIRST ENGLISH ISSUE, one of 750 copies. B.W. Huebsch first published this work in New York in 1916. This English issue was made up of American sheets, as no British printers wanted to put out its controversial content. Slocum & Cahoon A12.
