This example of Patek Philippe's iconic reference 5971 is possibly one of the best kept secret within this family. In fact, unknown within the collector's community and fully confirmed by the certificate from Patek Philippe, the present emerald-set reference 5971 is a true landmark as no more than 10 pieces have been manufactured with such a lavish yet sophisticated dial.

Christie's is proud to offer the very first and so far only known example of this exceptional gem, as no other reference 5971 with emeralds has ever been offered at auction until today.

Fresh to the market, this reference 5971, fitted with 42 emeralds weighing approx. 3.33 carats, is furthermore in unworn condition. A collector's mind could hardly imagine a more stylish and "over-the-top" example.
