THE MIRRORS QIANLONG (1736-1795), THE FRAMES PROBABLY DANISH AND CIRCA 1780
Each with a rectangular plate set within a stiff-leaf carved surround, depicting a river scene with seated courtly-dressed figures playing music and going about their daily activities, with pagodas amidst mountainous landscapes, framed by floral sprays with exotic birds, within a beaded surround with stop-fluted columns and Ionic capitals, surmounted by arched crestings, one carved with cooing doves and other Love attributes, the other with musical attributes
