DATED 1616
Cylindrical, enamelled and gilt to both sides with the full Saxon coat-of-arms below the initials ·I·G·H·Z·S·G·C·V·B·C·, divided by the date 1616 between stars, below a gilt band with white, blue and green seeded ornament, with a kick-in-base, supported by a foot ring with white dot ornament
12 9/16 in. (32.1 cm.) high
Provenance
The Electors of Saxony, inventory numbers G219 in yellow enamel 127(?) in white enamel and engraved 39399x.
Presented by Friedrich August III (1865-1932), the last King of Saxony, to his legal counsellor advising him after his abdication in 1918; thence by descent.
