A set of three English George II silver meat dishes
Mark of Frederick Kandler, London, 1749
Each of oval shape, with gadrooned borders and cast shell and foliate scroll handles, each engraved with a later coat of arms below a baron's coronet, each marked on reverse
One 43.5 cm. long; and two 34 cm. long

The arms are those of Clifford with Langdale in pretence, for Hugh, 5th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh (1756-1793) and his wife Apollonia, daughter and co-heir of Marmaduke, 5th and last Baron Langdale of Holme, whom he married in 1780. (3)
