A Chinese archaistic bronze ritual food vessel, gui
Probably 18th Century
The bomb body cast in low rounded relief with a band of eight dragons divided into four pairs by a small animal mask on each side, applied with a pair of C-scroll handles issuing from animal heads and with a tab pendent from the bottom cast, the slightly flared foot with a similar band of pairs of dragons confronted on a stylized motif
29.5 cm. diam., with wooden stand
