A collection of four polychrome painted parchment fans
Late 18th century
Comprising two with parcel-gilt pierced ivory hands, the parchment depicting a couple of lovers to both sides, the other depicting an elegant family in a garden, one with ivory hand veneered with polychrome painted mother-of-pearl, depicting a banquet and a love scene to the reverse, and one with pierced and parcel-gilt mother-of-pearl hand, the parchment depicting shepherdess with lamb and child and a garden scene to the reverse
