A pair of Meissen portrait busts of the Bourbon children
Circa 1840, with blue crossed-swords marks, various incised and painted numerals
After originals by J. J. Kaendler, modelled as Prince Louis Charles de Bourbon and Princess Marie Zepherine de Bourbon, both quarter-length, the Prince wearing a plumed cap painted with flowers on a yellow ground and edged in gilding, tied with a blue ribbon, the Princess with a headscarf painted encrusted with sprigs, both on oval bases moulded and gilt with C-scrolls
