1610, BOHEMIAN
Formed as a wheel-lock pistol, applied with prunts, a wheel, trigger and guard and a thick band to the rim, the barrel dated 1610, enamelled in pale-blue, white, yellow, dark-red and outlined in black with mechanism and ornament

See Rudolf von Strasser and Walter Spiegl, Dekoriertes Glas, Munich, 1989, p. 189, no. 32 where Rudolf Strasser lists comparable dated examples, the earliest from 1608 is in the Corning Museum ofGlass, other comparable dated examples of this type of pistol exhibited in The Nordiska Museet in Stockholm which houses two examples dating from 1615 and 1618, and another dated 1615 is exhibited in the Osterreichisches Museum fur angewante Kunst in Vienna.
