A LARGE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE DISH WITH THE ARMS OF SCOTLAND ORDER OF THE THISTLE
QIANLONG PERIOD, CIRCA 1750
The dish enamelled and gilt with the Royal Arms of Scotland surrounded by a spearhead border, the rim with two badges of the Order of the Thistle, with the motto NEMO ME IMP UME LACESSET, "No one provokes me with impunity", gilt with the initials 'W.F.' or 'F.W.'
15¼ in. (38.7 cm.) diam.
