Lot Essay

The Studio Khouri of New York City was formed by Elie Khouri, in order to import fine French decorative arts. Elie Khouri was also the exclusive representative and importer for René Lalique et Cie, and became a close friend of both René Lalique and his son, Marc Lalique.

This information was provided by Marie-Claude Lalique, granddaughter of René Lalique to Christie Mayer Lefkowith during the preparation of the book The Art of René Lalique flacons and powder boxes.
