CHINA, MING DYNASTY, LATE 16TH CENTURY

拍品專文

Compare this gilt-bronze and cloisonné enamel censer with another example dated from the first half of the 16th century, illustrated in H.Brinker and A.Lutz, Chinese Cloisonné: The Pierre Uldry Collection, Asia Society Galleries, New York, 1989, no.56.
Closely related handles and feet can also be seen on a tripod censer dated from mid-Ming dynasty illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum - Metal-Bodied Enamel Ware, Hong Kong, 2002, no.40.
See also a tripod censer with similar handles and feet sold by Christie's New York, 15-16 September 2011, 1203.
