A MATCHED SET OF FOUR GEORGE III SILVER CANDLESTICKS
ONE PAIR MARK OF JOHN PARSONS, SHEFFIELD, 1791, THE OTHER PAIR MARK OF JOHN GREEN & CO., SHEFFIELD, DATE LETTER INDISTINCT, PROBABLY 1795
The capitals, tapering columns and octagonal filled bases all with stiff-leafage overlaid on fluting, one pair with crest coronet and initial I, the other pair simply with crest and motto scroll above; together with a matching pair of Old Sheffield plate three-light candelabra branches
Height of candelabra: 18 in. (46 cm.); height of candlesticks: 11½ in. (29 cm.) (6)
