Bordeaux. The dry white wine produced at Château d'Yquem
Tasting note: Beautifully brilliant golden-yellow colour.
Intense, very elegant aromas with empyreumatic, mineral and gunflint nuances. The bouquet is nevertheless fruity, and reminiscent of tropical fruit such as mango, accompanied by overtones of dried fruit and honey. The wine starts out smooth, round and sufficiently vivacious on the palate. This wine has a beautiful structure and very persistent hints of stewed fruit on the aftertaste. It is a beautiful white wine meant for enjoying with a meal, and would be a perfect match for fish in a sauce, chicken with mushrooms or a delicious ripe cheese.
