Moritz Baumann's paintings are remarkable for the light they capture, their sense of depth, scale and moment - looking at them one can amost taste the air. Baumann often uses irridescent colours to help achieve some of the effects that make the Swiss alpine landscape so pure, as well as making the paintings 'shimmer' as you move around them.
