FIVE ENGLISH GLASS DECANTERS AND STOPPERS
CIRCA 1770-1800
Comprising: one of sugar-loaf form, engraved BRANDY within a mirror-shaped cartouche issuing leaves, a small pouring decanter and stopper of similar form, engraved RUM within a quatrefoil label suspended from a chain above cut flowerheads, another decanter of shouldered form, plain with a cut spire stopper, another club-shaped, the neck applied with three rings, the hollow compressed stopper flattened to the top, both parts applied to the exterior with trailed swagged ornament, and another of slender form, engraved with a vignette of a swan among bulrushes above an egg and dart pattern border
