THREE ENGLISH BLUE-GLASS DECANTERS AND STOPPERS AND TWO GILT DECANTERS AND STOPPERS
LATE 18TH CENTURY
Comprising: a pair of decanters with notched disc stoppers, named in gildling for HOLLANDS and RUM within shield cartouches below the initial 'N', the stoppers gilt with the inital of their contents; another blue decanter and stopper named for Brandy, the reverse with the initials WSY, a clear glass decanter of shouldered form, flat-cut with a band of stars below a faceted shoulder, engraved REVSALT to the shoulder, possibly gilt in the atelier of James Giles with scattered leaves, the flatened stopper gilded to match, and another decanter of tapering from, also probably gilt in the Giles workshop with bucrania, stopper gilded to match
