Engraved in Japanese style with a bird amidst bamboo & foliage, a copper-edged checkered panel below set with a Japanese parcel-gilt copper disc depicting a man dancing & balancing a crane in one hand, a fan in the other, to the accompaniment of a lady seated on a bough playing a samisen, a tortoise drinking from a bowl at her feet; also a Victorian card case by Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham, 1876, engraved in Japanese style with birds, flowers, fans, mountains & cherry blossom, turquoise silk interior with pencil
