The stand holding six cups and with apertures for six egg spoons, centred by an acanthus leaf-pierced and bright-engraved oval section with ring handle, the egg cups with applied girdle and engraved to front with a Scottish crest for Marshall, a dove holding an olive branch in its beak beneath the motto SEMPER VIRESCIT VIRTUS
