CIRCA 1680, THE NETHERLANDS
The flattened body engraved with two vignettes of Venus and Cupid, to one side with the Goddess pointing to her breast and Cupid readying to fire an arrow, to the other Venus disarming Cupid, each vignette below a flower, divided by branches, the footrim applied with a later dentil mount, the neck with a ring covered by a gilt-metal collar, attached to a chain and mounted cork stopper
