A GROUP OF MEISSEN PORCELAIN 'PURPURMALEREI' TEABOWLS AND SAUCERS,
MID-18TH CENTURY,
comprising three decorated with figures in landscapes and the sides and interiors with Holzschnittblumen, Gitterwerk rims, blue crossed swords for Meissen and two saucers with double dot, gilder's crescent mark to all, circa 1740; a set decorated with insects and blossoms, blue crossed swords for Meissen and impressed 2 to the saucer, circa 1742; and a fifth ribbed and similarly painted, the border with a band of vines and gilt rim, blue crossed swords for Meissen, impressed 52 to the saucer and AA to the teabowl
